Development Engineer - Exhaust System (m/w/d)

• You lead the development of technical content and define timelines for new engine components related to the exhaust path subsystem (turbocharger, exhaust manifold, EGR circuit, and exhaust brake flap), in accordance with project management and the subsystem leader
• You define the technical specifications of components to be developed, as well as key operating parameters
• You ensure that the project requirements align with the chosen technology and specifications (Design, Engine Tests, Electronics, Project Management) within the cross-functional team
• You support FMEA processes, as well as update and follow up on internal and external engine test activities
• You collaborate with suppliers on technology surveys, component development, and tear-downs
• You define the project-related Design and Validation plan for the Exhaust subsystem
• You analyze the components of your subsystem after validation runs and coordinate the analysis at the supplier
• You prepare technical releases for components under development
• You support as a specialist in case of quality issues concerning your subsystem
• You define the limits of operations for the components in your subsystem

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical engineering area
• You have minimum 5 years' experience in engine development
• You have advanced knowledge in the field of combustion engines, DVPNr methodology, thermo-mechanical fatigue
• You are linguistically proficient in French and English. German would be an asset
• As a person, you are an analytical thinker with extensive leadership skills, while being flexible
• You are recognized for your resilience while being aware of cost & resources
