Financial Accountant - Banking

Leaders in their field, this is a dynamic, Geneva-headquartered bank that is growing and busy.
Position:
Are you an experienced finance & accounting specialist from Swiss banking and free to start an exciting, new permanent position? This role is to join a fast-paced, busy team of financial accountants and controllers within a young and entrepreneurial atmosphere. Your mission is essentially to perform various accounting and financial control tasks. You will support the Head of Accounting and have contact with external auditors, as well as a lot of internal communication as regards this function. In addition, your role will ensure the implementation of effective tools.
Daily responsibilities to also include but not limited to:
- Accounting - entries, closings, estimates and accruals, as well as the monthly establishment of income accounts for the bank
- Daily reconciliations of the account balance sheets
- Regulatory reporting (Swiss National Bank), statistics
- Controlling - comparative review of income statements and explanatory comments on variations, as well as revenue controls
Profile:
- 5-10 years+ experience as a financial accountant or senior accountant from within the Swiss banking industry a must
- Qualified accountant or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Swiss banking regulatory framework as regards financial controlling and reporting (SNB etc)
- Very good knowledge of private banking activities and the related products and services
- Excellent MS office skills (Excel, Word) and knowledge of banking accounting software
- Able to work under pressure at a fast pace in a constantly changing environment (as regards FINMA reporting, FINMA circulars etc)
- Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize
- Fluent French and English
- A precise and meticulous person who has strong communication skills, as well as good resistance to stress
- Resident in Switzerland and immediately available to start
