The purchasing department of Mex is looking for a Lead Buyer.
As Lead Buyer, you report directly to the site Purchasing Manager.
This is a permanent contract, 100% activity rate. Start date is to be discussed.
As a Lead buyer, you are in charge of executing a sourcing strategy for the assigned spend and you are accountable for sourcing economic performance.

Lead Buyer - BOBST Mex Factory (M/F)
Key responsibilities :
- Identify and implement purchasing performance initiatives (LT Red, Outsourcing,…)
- Generate and execute Material cost reduction initiatives
- Select material sources ensuring compliance with strategic panels
- Propose alternative sources to secure supply continuity
- Support obsolescence project with site/PL stakeholders
- Manage RFQ and TCO analysis
- Ensure accuracy of SAP data, coordinating data cleaning and update
- Set up Rolling Contract in line with SCM colleagues
- Analyze and solve root cause of price discrepancies
- Contribute to site/PL routines
- Participate to reviews with local stakeholders as the key contact point for purchasing activities
- Perform "Supplier Lead" tasks: Business Review, Negotiation, Supply Agreement, Price list update, NDA, T&C's, Escalations,…
- Perform Purchasing activities according the Sourcing Process
- Implement Sourcing strategies
- Contribute to Material cost reduction according the Site/PL targets
- First point of escalation for the Site/PL stakeholders
- Local supply risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with P2P process including price list implementation. RFQ and invoice reconciliation
- Act as the "Supplier Lead" for his/her allocated suppliers
Experience required :
- 5+ years Sourcing experience in an international organization
- Master degree in procurement / technical degree (i.e. Mechanical) is a strong plus
