On behalf of one of our clients, an international sports organization based in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, we are seeking a:
Media Counsel
Responsibilities
- Fulfil the role of a subject matter specialist and support business and legal teams, including TV, Marketing Services and Digital Engagement.
- Manage legal and business affairs advice on the digital strategy across all teams involved.
- Review strategy, deal structuring, drafting and negotiation of agreements relating to digital distribution on a worldwide basis.
- Recommend media strategy, draft and negotiate digital related agreements with the different stakeholders.
- Negotiate media rights agreements and other documentation required.
- Act as a key point for legal and business affairs advice on the organization initiatives in virtual sports and gamification.
- Provide guidance how to effectively market and sell services through digital platforms, as well as how to enhance business operations.
- Assist in several areas related to the creation, localization, and distribution of media content, particularly in the context of combating piracy.
Profile
- Master’s degree in law or equivalent
- At least 7 years of relevant experience as a commercial lawyer in broadcaster or media organisation and/or a top media law firm
- Solid interest in the fields of technology and digital
- Fluency in English and French
- Highly developed drafting and communication skills
